Electric Fireplace from Modern Blaze

Hi there! I hope you’re all having a great summer! We’ve been enjoying this gorgeous weather so much!

Even though the weather is great right now, I know winter is coming. So, we have been working on building in this Electric Fireplace from Modern Blaze that we’ll enjoy year round, especially when the cold temps start creeping in!

Did you notice I said “Electric Fireplace”? I recently discovered that such an awesome product exists! It was the perfect solution for us!

We had the perfect spot for a fireplace in our sunroom but I didn’t want to go to the trouble (or the expense of having a gas line run all the way across the house. So when I found Modern Blaze I knew it was destiny:)

There were so many choices! We chose the Spectrum Slimline Built-in Wall mounted 50” It was perfect! It has so many different settings. You can change the flame color, the crystal color and choose to use the heater (It heats around 400 square feet ) or just enjoy the look of the flames with out turning the heater on.

I really wanted a mantle so we decided to build a wooden box instead of mounting the fireplace on the wall.

Since the trim in this room was a creamy color I decided to paint the shiplap black. I used Sherwin Williams Black Magic.

I wanted to stain the mantle a little darker than the ceiling in this room. I decided on Minwax Gel Stain in the color Chestnut. It’s perfect! Not too brown, not too orange, not too dark and not too light……. just right 😂

So I taped everything off and got started.

It went pretty fast. I painted two coats on the shiplap one night.

Then, the next morning I stained the mantle and added one more coat of paint before we headed to the lake.

Eeeeek! I’m so excited! I couldn’t wait to get back home and style this beauty!

When we got home I started adding the rocks to the insert.

It’s so easy! Just unscrew one screw on each side of the glass. The glass opens forward so you can add the crystals and or logs.

I decided I liked the look of the crystals and the logs together. So I added the logs next.

The logs are numbered and the instruction book comes with a placement chart. So Easy!

Now, just close the glass, replace the screws and get this party started! 😂

I had fun changing out the flame and crystal colors! There are so many combinations!!

I love being able to heat up the room in a matter of minutes!

I also love the fact that I can enjoy the look of a fire without having heat!

I’m so thrilled with the way this project turned out and with our new fireplace from Modern Blaze! Modern Blaze has given me a discount coupon code!!! Use code- WHOLE9 for 10% off your order!!

Have a wonderful weekend sweet friends!

With much love,

Leanna💕
