One Room Challenge Master Bedroom Makeover

One Room Challenge Week 6

Hi friends! Welcome to week 6 of the One Room Challenge. This is the finial reveal of our Master Bedroom. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this challenge.

These are definitely challenging times. There were initially things I would’ve liked to have done that didn’t happen but that’s just the way it is. Sometimes you’ve just gotta to roll with it;) The changes I needed to make along the way all turned out for the better and I am so pleased with the outcome!

So here we go, can I get a drum roll please……. 😆

Here’s a look at the bed after I put on the new bedding but before I added a few more pillows.

Adding the long body pillow and embroidered comforter across the foot of the bed took it to a whole new level. Give me all the pillows please! 😂

The original plan was to add some floral pillows to the bed. When I received the fabric that I ordered it was not what I had expected so I decided to go another route. I love the way it turned out.

I chose to stay neutral on the bedding. I incorporated these blue textured pillows to tie in the color of the bedside chest.

I wanted to do something different over the bed. Something with dimension, so I decided to build a shelf. I am so pleased with the way it turned out.

The corbels came from Hobby Lobby and we bought a 1 x 12 board at Home Depot to create the shelf.

We stained the board with old barn milk paint stain in the color rustic. The next step was to dry brush it with white glaze from General Finishes. I dressed out the shelf by adding this sweet “I’ll keep choosing you” sign layered over a faux widow, a boxwood garland and candlesticks.

The embroidered comforter and body pillow are from Pom-Pom at home. I absolutely love them!

In case you missed the 1st post, here’s a look at where we started.

Evening View

It’s amazing what new paint and carpet can do for a room!

Here’s a peek into the Master Bathroom. It has had quite a transformational well.

The neutral colors in the bedroom look so pretty coming off of the bathroom tile.

Here is a link to the bathroom remodel post in case you missed it.
