Master Bathroom Renovation

Hey sweet friends! I am so excited to share our Master Bathroom renovation with y’all today! It was one of those projects that we weren’t really planning on doing right away but then we found out the shower had a leak.

From there the vanities had to go and then the garden tub etc. etc. etc. You know how that goes, right? It’s a domino effect, one thing leads to another and then 6 (or 10) weeks later you have a brand new bathroom. 😂

Did you say a new bathroom? Yes, please! 😉

I’m not gonna lie, it was a mess for weeks!

Doesn’t that look pretty 🙅🏻‍♀️😂

There was dust everywhere and there was 100 different things going on in every direction! I mean for one, we had just moved and we were still getting settled. We had carpet installers here right before that. Floor refinishers, painters, you name it, if it had anything to do with remodeling it was probably going on over here!

Doesn’t this just make you want to start tearing out your bathtub?

I mean, let’s be real! Nobody wants to have to live through a mess like this!

The inspiration for this bathroom came from tile I had purchased from Bedrosians Tile A few months earlier. I knew I wanted it to be the starting point for our new bathroom.

I’m so in love with our floor! (OK, you know you’re a grown-up when you get so excited about new tile that you can’t even sleep! 😆)

I had also been dreaming about this Quartz countertop ever since I used it for a client. It’s from Kitchen and Bath Center I absolutely love the style it brings to the room.

Shower in progress!

It looks so pretty with our floors and our white shower tile.

I searched for the perfect mirrors. These were the perfect style but not the perfect color. No worries, Nothing a little spray paint couldn’t fix!
I’m really happy with the way they turned out.

I knew I wanted our vanities to be stained. I love the look of stained wood mixed with white! And I figure if I get tired of the stain later, I’ll paint it! It’s a lot easier to paint over stain then it is to try to strip the paint finish off. Right? Right! 😉

The garden tub was the first thing to go! Even though the leaky shower was what brought on this whole entire renovation. I knew I wanted that garden tub out of there the minute I walked in the room. I have wanted a freestanding tub for years! I ordered this One from Amazon.

Isn’t she a beauty?

I love the faucets that mount in the floor and spill into the tub. However, I didn’t want to spend more than I spent on the bathtub on a faucet. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I decided on this One because I loved the look of it and it was within my budget.

We chose to add shiplap for several reasons. One reason is because I absolutely love it! I knew I wanted to use some of it in the bathroom somewhere. Another reason is it was a lot less expensive than using new tile on the wall where we pulled the old tile off.

We partnered with Sinkology on the sinks and Pfister faucets for the vanities. I absolutely love them! I wanted the rectangular shape instead of a typical round or oval sink. I am so thrilled with the way these turned out.

When we first looked at this house I could see this bathroom. Not the way it looked at that moment but the vision in my head.

This Faux Roman shade is a no sew window treatment.
I will have a separate blog post on that.

So the choices were pretty easy because I had a plan In my mind from the get go.

This week we are adding shiplap to this corner vanity wall.

We also have new lights on order. I will be adding more pictures once we have those installed. After that, just a few paint touchups, shoe molding and this project will be complete! Yayyyyy

My sweet Gracie girl! 🥰
Just ‘cause she’s so cute!

Then it will be time just to sit back, relax and enjoy a nice hot Bubble bath.

Until next time sweet friends!

With Love,

Leanna

I love the vanity!!! Did you have it made? I’m wondering what type of wood it is and the stain. So gorgeous!

    1. Thank you so much! Yes we had it custom-made. I’m not sure of the color I just chose one of the stains the cabinet company provided.
