Well, the count down to Valentine’s Day is on! In the next few days I have several tablescapes to share with you.I love seasonal decorating. Actually, I love any form of decorating, especially when my children are involved. This past weekend was the DHS Sweetheart Dance. The kids went to dinner before the dance. Several other moms pitched in to help decorate the tables. This was a very fun project!
I wanted the tables to be beautiful as well as functional. The kids needed to see each other and be able to talk and visit.
A great way to achieve this is to keep the center pieces tall and slender.
White tablecloths were topped with a burlap runner.
The candlesticks in the center are a weathered distressed finish.
My mom let us borrow these fabulous arrangements. We placed one on each end of the table. At the top of the container are white hydrangeas mixed with tiny red roses. White lilies are placed in the center along with white sticks for height.A few vines and greenery run along the center of the table
Each place setting started with a silver charger plate. The flatware was placed in the center of the charger. The knife straight with the forks and spoon crossed over the top. They were tied together with red satin ribbon. The napkin was in the shape of a rose and placed beside the charger. A sprig of boxwood tied with twine bow was nestled behind it. The place cards were hand written in calligraphy on white and silver patterned card stock.
Check out that beautiful view!
Now, the tables are set, the pictures are made and it’s time for dinner!
Beautiful.
