My first project after moving in was the living room remodel….

The walls were a linen white when we moved in. The soft linen color worked with everything.  I started with the chocolate sofa and worked from there. The Top Pinch pleated window treatments are a winter white linen fabric with a patterned burlap band on the leading edge. I went with iron rods and rings in the color of Iron Gold. The gold rods complement the accent fabric on the band beautifully. Matching mirrors and tray tables flank the window creating balance and symmetry in the room.

The gray patterned rug paired with a wood and chrome coffee table make a bold statement in the room which adds a modern touch. The gray pillows on the sofa echo the rug bringing the room together. I love to change things, and with the neutral base of this room I can change the pillows or the pillows and rug and get an entirely different look! The distressed armoire and charcoal leather chair bring a rustic flavor to this room.

I did not want this room to be a “formal living room”  I want every room in our house to feel comfortable enough to live in!
